Transport: SEAFRIGO group has a long acquired expertise of food transport. Our understanding of the regulation and of the custom processes for this specific product category gives us a great reactivity.
Our freight forwarding service offer is carried out by two brands :
- SEAFRIGO is an historical specialist of reefer food container shipping (AEO certified by the EU authorities).
- SEADRY is a freight forwarder specialized in dry food container shipping.

For all meat and poultry exports and imports to the US, we are able to manage total or partial inspection at our New York facility
Food Safety Inspection Services – Center I-45925
After an incoming shipment has met U.S. Customs and Border Protection and APHIS requirements, the shipment must be reinspected by FSIS at an approved import inspection facility. All inspections of your commodities can be conducted directly in the certified SEAFRIGO warehouses.
FSIS import inspectors first check the documents to assure the shipment is properly certified by the foreign country. Inspectors next examine each shipment for general condition and labeling and then conduct the inspection assignments.
Several types of inspection may be done including net weight checks of retail packages; examination of the containers’ condition; examination for product defects; and laboratory analysis for product composition, microbiological contamination, residues, and species. Additionally, FSIS randomly samples products at ports for drug and chemical residues. The FSIS agents have an office inside our premises so your products don’t have to be moved to be controlled. Moreover, a 20 000 sqft area allows us to store all your cargo waiting for approval from the authorities.
Products that pass reinspection are stamped with the USDA mark of inspection and are allowed to enter U.S. commerce for distribution and use as if they were produced domestically.
Food Safety Inspection Services – Center V-46840
All the Meat and Poultry products need a re-inspection if they are destined for export to verify the product’s safety, wholesomeness, identity (including labeling), and eligibility for export. This re-inspection can be done directly at our FSIS certified warehouses so you don’t have to move any of your products.
The inspector of the shipment will verify that an application for export certification is complete, including review of paperwork, sensory evaluation of the product, storage and handling procedures for the product, labeling of the product and any required foreign language sticker.
